Hi Jim (and Pasha, too)...
Did you see the new Pedigree commercial:  "Do not pity a shelter dog; adopt one."
You're so right in what you've said about animals landing in shelters due to no fault
of their own.  I just wish we could rescue them all...

Joanne and her rescued gang of dogs, cats, guinea pigs, mice and fish!

 I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter...the castoffs of human society.
I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal.
And I was angry.
"God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"
God was silent for a moment and then He spoke softly.
"I have done something."  He replied
"I created you."
