[Gpdd] [HEALTH] FECAL PARASITE TEST

ME,

I have never had a fecal parasite test done on any of my piggies. Imagine
the logistics of getting a whole herd into the car and off to the vets! Not
to mention the mayhem in the waiting room when I arrived. Or the alternative
of me collecting samples from each piggy and not mixing them up.

All of my herd are regularly wormed with Panacur and dosed with Ivermectin.
They have regular anitfungal shampoos ( it's very damp in England ).

If any bugs can get past that lot they must be pretty tough.

So, personally, I would not bother with the tests and save the money for a
time when meds are necessary.

I do not want to cast aspersions but might your old vet be after your hard
earned cash? Some vets in England can be very pushy and charge exhorbitant
fees for all kinds of unnecessary stuff, which is why I love the down to
earth approach of my wonderful Rodentologists.

All the best for the New Year.

Penny and the Piggyfriends.
