Yes, Joanie, that was my experience with my Peruvians, those gorgeous 
forelocks limit their life experience. I would take them, between my fingers 
comb straight up and shear in one motion front to back in sort of a Mohawk, 
it absolutely changed their lives. I left it long enough to stand straight 
up and maybe  bend a little, I didn't shear it way down, it gave them a 
rakish punk sort of look which I found very attractive. I'm sure Captain 
Jack will be startled but his completed adoration of her I'm sure will be 
only be heightened as she can now join him safely in climbing riggings, etc. 
I'm sure she will be less accident prone too!  Congrats!  love Sandy and
