Has Donovan been treated for mites? A mite itches and the pig himself will
bite or scratch at it. I definitely do a series of Ivermectin in order to
get internal parasites also if he hasn't been treated recently? Pig bites
are usually wounds, and hair eaters eat hair, not the pig, but I have seen
mite damage like this. Dont let them do a scrape test, it hurts and doesn't
catch all types of mites, just do the treatments. If it doesn't clear up
soon after treatment then the answer is elsewhere. You may separate them to
be sure if its the roommate Donovan doesn't get hurt worse, but usually you
will know, see bullying, the bully will hog the food, water, pigloo,
rumblestrut and chatter allot, you would know, but keep them side by side or
the bond could break. The roommate will need mite treatment also, plus be
sure to keep 2 water bottles in the cage, and its better to have 2 food
dishes and 2 pigloos. If there are 2 pigloos and they stay in separate
ones, there is often a bonding problem. Best regards Sandy and Sammy
