Early onset of cataracts can be a symptom of diabetes. Phoebe's
cataracts came on at about two yeas of age. One vet suspected she
might have it. She also had reoccurring bladder infections but no
stones.

Certain antibiotics can also trigger quick onset of cataracts.

Sugar excretion can be measured in urine but that can increase under
stress so it might up the numbers.

I recommend you limit the high sugar fruits in vegetables like
carrots, corn, and sweet fruits. It won't cure the cataracts but it
might lower Velvet's blood sugar that may causing them. This did cure
Phoebe of her bladder infections. It was unfortunate, that it took me
so long to figure it out.
