Hi Debra,

My piggy Guiny had lumps all of a sudden.
I took her to the vet and she looks small biopts I think, just by getting a
little hollow needle, and she would get some of the lumps substance out.
They send that to the lab, and they all came back as fatty lumps.
So the vet said there was no need to remove them as they do no harm, unless
they get bigger and in her way.

I don't think they ever hurt her, and she lived for at least another year.
She simply died of old age I think.

Maybe you vet can do there biopts without opening up the lumps and removing
the whole lump. Which might be a source for getting an infection. If it
comes back as something back, then he can remove it.
If not, best leave it alone.

I hope your vet won't mind taking this approach, plus i think it might same
you some money, plus less scary moments for your piggy.

Good luck,
Mieke
