Laura,
You're faced with the decision we all dread. I, like your vet, am behind you 100% all the way, however you choose. Have you asked you piggie which he'd prefer? Whether he's ready for a new body to replace his worn-out one? Or whether the love and goodies here are enough to stay around for awhile? You know, he wins either way because he is so very loved--loved enough to let him go and loved enough to keep him here, which is why this is such a hard decision.
