Carole, Cindy, ME, Jaime, and Judi, thank you for your thoughts about Providence. This day after has been better. I started it with clipping my girls' nails and cuddling them. We buried her (as well as Hope, Melody, and Harmony). This afternoon we visited some pet stores. It's one of those things my husband does ... I think he doesn't know what else to do when I'm feeling so down. We only saw a few girls, most were boys ... I wasn't drawn to any of the girls ... just slightly to one of the boys ... but I only bring home girls.

I know in time I'll just think about the wonderful times we shared with Providence (and the rest of this gang). She was just the most gentle and giving spirit (even with the biting ... that was really just a reflex, not a part of her personality). She was even really good about letting me give injections, even though I'm sure she didn't like them, to the point where I think I learned how to do it better.

I have always thought agoutis were very pretty and was hoping to have one some day. I loved looking at Providence's hair ... strangely enough, I think hers seemed to get darker as she got older. I was kind of surprised that she was already five years old ... she really didn't seem that old ... she's always acted more like a youngster.
