Dear ME,
So sorry about your Harmony.
I had a piggie named Cheyenie who passed only 3 wheeks after Rufie.  They
were side by side in their cages. She was not the cuddly type.  I think it
was her conditioning before I got her.  She was in a pet shop (that closed
actually; and I am sort of glad because they neglected the animals) with a
bunch of other cavies, and she was tiny.  I think it would have been better
if I had gotten her and the other one that she was following around that
looked like her but bigger.  Well, she loved Rufie and they used to talk to
each other through the cages.  She used to freeze sometimes, often actually;
I do not know how she had been handled prior to me.  Well she developed
ovarian cysts and the vet was not to quick with getting her taken care of.
It was kind of maddening.  She missed Rufie, and anyway now I know she is
with him again.  I sounds redundant, but they are together all of them. So I
know how you must feel, and I am just hoping you may be able to adopt some
more cavies as time goes on, when and if you can.
The more I study cavies and their needs, the more I understand what's going
on with them. I wish I had started sooner.  I now have 8, and I just want to
enjoy them while they are here.
