[Gpdd] ANNOUNCE: Horatio, Pixie's Kid

Well, I dithered and fretted over it for a few days, but tiny little Horatio (name courtesy of my 95-year-old mum who came along to the shelter to pick him up on Wednesday) is cozied up in my quarantine cage next door to the cage of his mum, Pixie, at last.  The adoption form says he was born at the shelter February 26, which makes him the first piggie I've ever had for whom I had a definite birthday!
 
He's only been here for few days, so he's still hiding out in his little house most of the time.  If the big giant hand (that would be me) leaves some fascinating new food item in his bowl, he waits as long as he can resist (about five nanoseconds), then dashes out of the house at warp speed, grabs the food item, zips wildly around the cage a few times then it's back into the little house to sample his new treasure.  He is definitely one speedy little pig!
 
Thanks to everyone who wrote with encouragement!  I hope to have pictures of both Pixie and Horatio soon...
