I don’t know of a pellet that is non hay based, timmy or alfalfa, however I
doubt the pellet is your problem. It’s the loose hay, esp loose hay that
that may have dust weeds or even molds and other plants in it that is
usually the problem. We had an unusually wet summer so high quality hay is
very hard to find, I got some some really good third cut timmy from
Kleenmama's in Washington State, Oxbow and Sweetmeadow have the best east
coast.

Is Kip having allergies or is it someone in the house? A Honeywell Hepa
filter, about $130 from www.amazon.com is esp helpful. Check that when
changing the bedding the its done carefully, if it's you, wear a surgical
mask, if it's Kip send him to another room in his carrier or a Rubbermaid
tub and don’t bring him back till all the dust is settled.

If this doesn’t do it change your bedding. If you are using shavings of any
kind get rid of them right now, wood has volatile oils that damages the
liver over time. We variously use towels over newspaper, I use thick
newspapers with a Carefresh alternative. There is also a white Carefresh
avail online that says its hypoallergenic. Dust with a damp towel
frequently unless you are in a hi humidity environment, in that case use a
de-humidifier. If it is hi humidity get the de-humidifier as a priority over
the Hepa but both are needed.

If I can be of any further help let me know, also correct me if I got the
problem wrong, I have never heard of a gp allergic to hay, that’s their
natural environment, but mold and dust can get to them. Sandy and Sammy
