Hi. I just wanted to put out a short post to thank everyone who has been helping me with Chakalaka's problem. This morning, for the first time in two weeks, his weight actually increased. He's back to three pounds at the moment. He's eating lettuce and hay on his own now. He's still not eating very many pellets, and he's having a bit of trouble eating his favorite carrots, but he's getting better at it.

He's going back to the vet tomorrow for a recheck. I managed to get a urine sample from him this evening. The vet's staff tried for two visits and didn't get one. Unfortunately, a lasagna pan and a colander have now left my kitchen and joined my pig supply cabinet after sacrificing themselves for the cause.

He's been going to work with me for the past two days. I'm sure I will miss him tomorrow while he is at the vet. I hope that we will get good news and we can stop the syringe feeding and start decreasing the pharmaceutical cocktail that the vet prescribed. He's high maintenance, but very worth it!

Thanks again to everyone for your help and support!
