Vets are trained to use a needled syringe, remember its usually used for
horses, and vets receive very little training on piggies if any, it just
never occurs to them and a needle is much more dangerous. The $26 ivermectin
will last a very long time. Find someone to share it with as long as you
can transfer some to a sterile container and keep it refrigerated. Also
double check the dilution its sold as so you don’t give a wrong dose.
transferring may shorten its shelf life and be sure not to dip the syringe
in, create a sterile lip by pouring some out in the sink, and then pour over
the same place. good luck, Sandy and Sammy
