Hi Joanne,

What Sandy said about Super Boars is absolutely true. I recommend your
friend reading this story my boy Oliver wrote in the Fall:
http://samscello.com/2010/11/11/olivers-story/

What Penny says are your pairing options is what I would recommend, as well:
two pairs of one neutered male & one intact female in separate pens, OR one
neutered male with two intact females and the other male left intact in a
separate pen, close by the others for company, but with a Super Boar Proof
divider between them. Determined male piggies really "can" fly, LOL.

It can be a real challenge to find an experienced *and* competent vet
regarding GP surgeries. Many vets don't seem to have any idea how much they
DON'T know about GPs and so have poor surgery and other treatment outcomes
without knowing why. If your friend decides to go the surgery route, make
sure she does her homework and asks lots and lots of questions of the vet
*before* scheduling a surgery. There are guidelines and suggestions on how
to do this here: http://www.guinealynx.info/sitemap.html

Good luck to you both on these important decisions!
