Hi Friends:
Very suddenly, some medical concerns have found
their way to my sweet girl, Spicy. Most shocking to
me, is that she developed bumblefoot! None of my
piggies ever had it so I was quite upset!
I know it's painful and can go into the bone so I am
very worried. I'm also confused as to HOW she got
it.
Spicy also started looking thin, lost fur on her legs
and had a discharge from her bottom. It all came on
so quickly and at once!
She is my little sweetheart...she was licking me as the
vet examined her. So, she is on Baytril for what my vet
said is a urinary tract infection and has Chlorhexadene
Solution to soak her feet in. One foot definitely has
bumblefoot and it looks like it is beginning on the other.
I hope she'll be fine again.
The vet wanted me to separate Spicy in order to monitor
her water/food intake so I put a cage into the girls' big C&C cage
so she's still with them. She's eating fine...so why is she losing
weight?
It all worries me because she is over 5 1/2 years old...maybe
even 6 years old already. I adopted her over 4 years ago
and her rescuer said she was 18 - 24 months old.
Thanks for being there for me and my beautiful Spicy...I know
you all understand!
Hugs to all,
Joanne

Let's rescue...at the speed of LIFE!
