Hello people and piggies,

Flashbang Fatbottom has been going through some ordeals lately! About 6 weeks ago I could tell Flashbang was feeling crummy. He wouldn't come out of his pigloo and Benito was always camped out in front. So, off to the vet we went. The urine didn't look bloody, but a testing strip showed blood. The vet tested it and gave him some antibotics. He perked up after a few days.

About two weeks after, he started to lose weight. I kept an eye on it and when it kept going down, we went to the vet again, even though he was acting fine. This time you could see the bloody urine, an x-ray showed bladder stone. We had that taken out and he was given more antibotics and metacam. Recovery was looking good.

Last week he started acting crummy again and losing weight, so another vet trip. More bloody urine, and this time we're on SMZ TMP for antibotics. There was some sludge in the urine, so no more higher calcium greens for piggy. Right now he's on lettuce, cucumber, and carrots.

Any other advice to trying to rid him of this UTI? Any other favorites greens that are low calcium? Little Flashbang is tried of taking "poison" (that's what he thinks the medicine is) and I'd like to see him a nice plump piggy again.

Cheers,
Jocelyn, Flashbang Fatbottom, Edgeworth, and Benito
