For what it worth, I used to get those annoying question marks all the time.  I get my GPDD posts in batch from my Yahoo mail.  At the suggestion of the Yahoo administrator, I upgraded my mail version, as they recommended to me.  After I did that, I had no more problems.  You might want to try up-grading your mail format to a current version and see if that helps.  It worked for me.
