Dear Corrine and Michael we are sorry that Snoopy has crossed the bridge, I had the same thought as Jaime that it could be a heart problem which would also explain why he went so quickly.
 
I know he was your baby and you love him but crossing quickly without suffering and without the need for vet intervention is the kind of crossing I would wish for my piggies, 5 years old is a great age for a piggy and even if you feel you didnt give him enough time you were obviously doing all the things he needed.
 
With regard to coping nothing focuses you like caring for another piggy either a new addition or the herd you already have.
 
I still miss my little Fugly who we had to help over the bridge due to kidney stones he was only 3.5 years old and so full of life until the stones got to him, sometimes I feel we helped him over too early and sometimes I feel that we did the right thing he was obviously suffering. I would have prefered him to chose his time like Snoopy but that wasnt to be.
 
Losing piggies is no reflection on your ability as a mummy, each piggy teaches us something new, and each piggy will always have a place in our hearts.
 
Remember Corrine you did nothing wrong and Michael and the piggies need you so dont even think of going anywhere, it will get easier.
