Yesterday Mimi went to the vet because she had taken her 4th dose of Ivermectin & was still itchy & I wasn't satisfied that it was mites so back we went. The vet took a fungal culture that will take 2-3 weeks to come back so he started her on anti-fungal medicine anyway. It's called Griseofulvin 125/5M suspension. She gets 1ml everyday for the next 30 days. She got her first dose today. He also gave her a dose of Revolution in case she has fleas, although she shows no signs of fleas. I hold her every night & have never seen one & never have any flea bites. He said I could bathe her with an oatmeal shampoo if she needs it. Any suggestions as to a good shampoo? She also is getting sprayed with her Pramoderm to help with the itching till the medicine kicks in. Her Ivermectin & Panacur are on their way to me in the mail so we'll talk about that when they get here. Hopefully with all this her itching will stop soon. She gets relief from the spray. I don't know how long it will take for the Griseofulvin to kick in & if it even is a fungal infection, although at this point I don't know what else it could be. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
