Part Two.

When my son, Kevin, got home from work at our local rescue, he said that a colleague had asked for C & T's phone number as he knew that I took my piggies there. It turned out that he needed the number on behalf of the rescue's gardener. Kevin found out that she had a prizewinning white Peruvian boar whom she had taken, at great expense, to a breeder in Norfolk with a view to.....................sounds familiar? Yes, she was the same person who had given three boars to the rescue lady and, when she found out that they had been passed on to C & T, wanted to make sure that my little one had found a good home and to offer cash and veggies in recompense for their trouble.

Kevin knew that I had been to C & T that day to collect the little boar but did not know his background so I listened, incredulously to his story. "Do you know the name of this little one?", I asked. He replied that she had called him Little Willy. Then I showed him my new little one. Small world!

These little boars had been to the other rescue, been temporarily looked after by a friend when the rescue lady was ill. They had then been returned to her, one of them rehomed and the other two taken to C & T, one of them returning with her, the other being left for me to collect. They had put in quite a few pig miles between them when, if I had known, I would have taken all three from their original owner from Kevin's workplace, which is ten minutes down the road. They would not have needed to undergo the neutering op as I would never neuter any of mine and she would have saved a lot of cash.

It turns out that Kevin has previously met the father boar, when he was taken into work one day. Kevin says that he was combed out as for showing and looked splendid ( although we both prefer to see piggies running around having fun ).

I will take some pigtures of little Otto, who is sure to sit still for the camera and put them on my Photobucket page for you to see. I'll let you know when they are there.

If the rescue lady takes his brother back to C & T, he can come and live here. There is always room for one more.

Otto says " hello" to you all.

Penny and the Piggyfriends.
