Julie and the 5, your posting about Joey and ultimately his trip to the Bridge was such a tribute to your love and devotion for him, and our hearts go out to you in your loss.  We are so very sorry that his troubles began when your brother's dog picked him up in his mouth.  How very sad that he developed cysts that required surgery, and how touching that you and your mom worked so hard to keep them clear when later ones developed.  We know you went through such a rollercoaster of emotions as he would improve and then become ill again.  It is so hard to see our piggies sick, and the fact that you did your best for him every day for years speaks volumes for your courage and character -- and his.  Please know that Joey could not have asked for a better family to live with.  We are so saddened that he was in pain at the end, but we have no doubt that your love for him gave him strength as he journeyed to the other side.  Please accept our very belated condolences on his passing.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all sick piggies and their families.
