On the twelfth day of Christmas, my Slave she gave to me,

12 sprigs of parsley,
11 sticks of celery,
10 melon slices,
9 juicy apples,
8 crunchy carrots,
7 leaves of lettuce.
6 leaves of cauli,
5 cu-cum-bers,
4 trays of grass.
3 red toms,
2 bags of kale,

and a bale of hay her friend gave us for free.

Tra la la. ( it is hard to rhyme with "me" if you are not using the pear
tree )

We'd actually have preferred the 12 trays of grass but it didn't scan.
Slave always plagiarises a Christmas song at this time of year and we were
going to post one line per day but, rather than bore you to tears with the
repetition, here it is in one go.

Happy Holidays everyone. Happy Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Good Yule and
anything else that people like to celebrate. Vrolijke kerst to our Dutch
friends (if this is not right, blame Mr. Google!)
