Hi Slave,

Pandora is busy training some volunteer nurses. She found out that
volunteers in the US were called candy stripers because of their stripy
uniform so we both thought that Susie and Sally could help us out as they
are both stripy and Susie had a lot of experience with bandages when she
was at the rescue.. Of course, Sally has to be with her so they are both
learning some basic medicine. As they are both very quiet piggies they will
be nice and calm with our patients.

A new little piggy has just joined us. Her name is Ayla and she is very
pretty. She has lots of patterns and looks just like one of your plush
piggies. She has poorly feet so we will all be able to help her.

We never had the time to write home about the zoo in Sydney. We had a great
time there. They have a free flight bird show and afterwards some of the
birds collect money from the audience and this is used to help with
conservation work. Merlin thought that this was a wonderful idea and wanted
to join in but we persuaded him that the money is for the zoo's
conservation work not ours. One of the birds, a cockatoo, is called Elliot
and our own Elliot was very pleased to meet him. You would have loved to
see the otters.

We are now on our way to Lizard Island. We should have been there for
Australia Day but we have been so busy that we are way behind schedule.

I am enjoying helping Pandora with the nursing and now that we have Susie
and Sally to help too, nopig will have to wait to be seen.

We are glad to be away from the ice and snow back home. You would have had
a hard time collecting grass for us but here it is lovely and warm and the
grass is plentiful.
