Nancy, your condolences are much appreciated -- thank you.  I agree that 
Friday had a big personality (and, of course, that he was darling!).  He 
loved to catch me on the phone and then start loudly ringing his bell.

I do feel that he passed peacefully, and I was lucky to be able to hold 
him in my arms and tell him one last goodbye.  He seemed to really see 
me and be listening intently.
