I just use newspaper with hay on the top in all of my pens. The hay is
changed daily and any wet newspaper rolled up and replaced. Any elderly or
infirm piggies have a piece of Vetbed to keep them comfy. Fleece had not
been invented when I first started with piggies and I have never changed a
system that works for me.

I couldn't look after so many piggies if I had to wash piles of fleece
every day.
