Lynn-
Corn silks are only available here in the summer time but Mimi loves them. I just wash them first & then cut them into shorter strands so it's easier for her to eat. Corn silks are good for piggie bladders so I feed them to her a little everyday. They keep well in a ziploc baggie in the fridge. I just rinse them as I give them to her so they don't sit in their own water & get slimy. Unfortunately she has to go without the rest of the year. I've never given her any husks.
