                                            Getting Ready
“Wheeeek! Wheeeek! Wheeek!”
“Tundra, do you have any idea what time it is? I’m sure you woke our guests. They have had a very long trip to the east coast.”
“Wheeeeeeeeeek!!”
“It’s 4 in the morning. It is NOT time to meet the Misfits’ plane at the airport!”
“Wheeek, wheeeeeek. “
“I have a van rented for them and they have a GPigS in the van AND Zeus has written directions that Scampy can read to him. Go back to sleep.”
“Wheeeek?”
“No, now that I am awake I will NOT get up and get you more snacks!”
Slave heard some grumbling before going back to sleep. At 7 AM, Tundra sounded the wake- up call again, except this time it was for real. AR had come a day to help with the food and had spent a great deal of time preparing little vegetable pizzas for the several pigs that would attend. He came out rubbing his eyes and looking at Tundra. “I’m still tired!” 
“I know and I’m sorry,” Tundra said, “all the Misfit boys are coming soon.”  “What about all those lovely little girls?” AR asked. “They will be here tomorrow when every pig else arrives.” AR rolled his eyes and snuggled in on the couch to try to get some additional sleep.
 After a short time, a large van came to a very slow stop in front of the house. Zeus got out of the driver’s side with Scampy and Patches riding his back. The back 4 doors opened all the same time and out jumped several squeaking and wheeking guinea pigs – the Misfit boys had arrived! They agreed to come a day early to help set up for the party on Wednesday evening/night. With so many paws to help, setting up the party would be easy and fun.
“Stop pushing me.” “I want to see, I want to see.” “Where can I put my costume?” “Where’s my bag?” “I’m hungry!” and several other assorted wheeks were heard while the Misfits got out of the van.  Zeus laid down so Patches and Scampy could get off his back. “They are excited,” Patches said. 
“Come in! Come in!” AR and Tundra said together. After several minutes of placing bags, costumes, etc. in the house, the Misfits were treated to some snacks of fresh veggies, hay, pellets and water. Once everyone had their fill, pigs, dog, hamster, and rat cuddled on all the furniture and beds and napped for a short time. Once everyone was rested, all the pigs gathered up the decorations and made their way down the path to the lake side where the party was to be held. AR, Scampy, and Zeus stayed at the house to finish making pizzas.
“Whee made it as scary as whee could!” “You should see it – it is sooo cool!” “The girls are going to wheeeeek and I’m going to be right there to hold as many paws as I can.” the boys all said at the same time when they came back from the lake. “Just wait til tomorrow!”
