SMZ-TMP (trimethoprim sulfa) is safe for piggies. Mimi used to take it for UTIs. It is a suspension so shake the heck out of it before you give it to her. Sounds like a good vet visit & a nice vet. I would ask specifically for him from now on. Good piggie vets a hard to find! Hope Callie is on the mend.
