[Gpdd] Misc: Riley (misfit)

Hello  Everyone and every pigger,
Just wanted to let you know how Riley was doing. On Friday I took Riley to the 
young vet that works at the humane society that I volunteer on Thursdays at. On 
Thursday when I was there of course I had to tell them about Riley and how he 
just wasn't eating at all.
Well the young vet named Kristen  offered to sub Q him for me on Friday if I 
could bring him in. That way over the weekend it would give him a better chance 
till the meds all started working. He did really well while she subQ him 10 ml.  
He is such a trooper. Such a brave boy.  Well it helped as today while we ate 
our lunch with all the gang (Andy does a Sunday lunch that is sooo good!) he 
makes everything by scratch! and my daughter and her family come plus my sister 
and her family. Well while we were eating my brother in law yells out with 
excitement: He IS EATING!!!!!!  well we all stop and look over at Riley. HE is 
of course in the holding cage that sits by the dining room table.  And it was 
true Riley was eating his first bits of pellets with out any help from me. 
We were all so happy. He also worked his way over to the water bottle and 
drank!  Yes such a grand day for us to have Riley finally eating a bit and 
drinking a bit. That is great strides for that little man.  His legs will let 
him stand up and let him bunny hop now. So that is way better than what he was 
when he came here last Wednesday night. Little by little our little Riley is 
fighting to get better.  He loves cuddle times and he still wont touch any veg 
at all. Not even a carrot!  SO in time I hope he will give those a try.
Just wanted to share with you our excitement over seeing him eat!  and he 
actually gave me  four nice sized poops!  so its a start.
Thank you for all your warm welcomes to our new little man.  I sent a pic with 
my phone to his previous owner and she was happy he was still alive and looking 
better. She said I was the only one that responded to her Ad to help him.
Well the year is starting out great here. Hope it is for all of you and your 
family as well.
