Hi all,
I just wanted to share a few things with y'all. The last 4 days, I have had
the girls out here in the living room with me in their floor pen. This
way, I could get a better idea of whether or not anything was still going on
with Eve. I am pleased to announce that it has been wheekless, except forn
when I make the kisssy sound for treats. No crying, no whimpering, no loud
pain squawking. So, apparently, she is all bettr now. So, I will be
sending the massage pad on to the member who asked me if they could use it
next. After I hear from her, I will asks if she minds me using her name on
here so that future members will know who to contacg if they need to use
it. Paying it forward!
Last night, we decided it was nail clipping time. When we do this, I hold
the targeted piggy in my hands with their back against my belly and try to
extend the foot that Earl wants to clip. He uses a gooseneck lamp that has
a magnifying glass on it so he can see them better. They, of course, aren't
crazy about this method. Especially Callie. She is so funny. She is okay
with having her back feet cut but when he tries to do her front feet, she is
either nipping his finger or my hand or, what is even funnier, she will
reach down and try to bite on and pull the nail he is attempting to clip.
He has to wait for her to quit before he can finish the job. Silly pig! If
I try to pull her head back to make her stop, she will bite me. Not too
hard but enough to let me know she *could* hurt me if she really wanted to!
:) Both girls are eating well and continue to put on weight. I do believe
Callie could become a LAPS piggy very easily if I don't keep a close watch
on her!
I am feeling pretty good. I got the results of my blood work yesterday and
I am still low on blood count (red blood cells and hematocrit) but at least
my iron is up to normal. I am seeing my heart doctor tomorrow and will see
whatg he wants to do about the low numbers. Those are what caused my heart
to go into basic failure mode this last time so we will need to keep a close
eye on that.
OK, that's about it for me today. I just had some free time and felt like
talking with someone, so you guys were my lucky victims! LOL Love to you
all...
Hugs, love and whisker kisses,
Lynn, Callie and Eve with Sammy and Tabby at the bridge and in our hearts
and memories
