Hi Joanie,

The cause of uveitis is often unknown. It can be treated with
flubiprofen, an NSAID eye drop. Or you can give orally 0.4 ml of dye
free Advil ibuprofen 20 mg/ml twice a day for 7 days then reduce to 0.2
ml for 7 days. It is important to make sure the eye is not bulging. You
can determine this by looking down at her head and observing if both
eyes are the same size. A bulging eye can be an indication of an
infection behind or inside the eye or an elongated tooth root.

I volunteer as a consulting rodentologist to Drs. Danielson and Saleh
D.V.M. of Ehrlich Animal Hospital and Dr. Bonsack D.V.M. of Westchase
Animal Hospital Tampa, Florida.

Cheers,
