[Gpdd] SOOTY health

Dear everyone who has sent lovely messages, some of condolence in anticipation of Sooty crossing the Rainbow Bridge. To this point, (9pm on 12.30am on 28 March), my boy is still with me!       I was at my wits end when I saw the blood, then I saw more blood and huge blood clots.  In my hysterical state I was able to think clearly and I recall recently reading about a lady who has opened a Sunshine Coast Cavy Club - she owns 100 piggies and has had them all her life.     I desperately rang her, and told her we have no-one here who knows anything about piggies, and she said she had a friend in Perth who was a vet and knows lots about piggies!!!   I emailed him, he replied, said everything Ann advised was good, then said it was likely Sooty was bleeding out, his organs would fail, he'd suffer pain, and then he'd pass away.     He was amazed that Sooty and I have been fighting this for 4 years and beating it, but probably this was it.   He told me to keep him hydrated, keep him warm, and be with him.
 
He's had 4  lots of hydrating fluid, tinsie cucumber, his bleeding has stopped, he had some thicker poo scraped across the rag but it wasn't red it was dark brown; and his eyes are as bright.    I just checked him before writing to you all, and he was out of his tent, he looked hungry, he ate another bit of cucumber, and when I held another half piece up he snatched it out of my hand and went running back inside the tent and finished it off.     He's in his tent within his cage beside me in bed now.   I'm doing the best I can
 
Dear friends, please pray that I can write to you tomorrow morning with good news!  I'm not giving up hope, nor my strength, and I'm hanging off our Lord's coat-tails and will not let go!   I must admit I'm pretty exhausted, not having got a nap through the day because that's when I discovered Sooty bleeding.  A true peaceful sleep would be great right now but my baby needs me.
