Hi all,

I was just reading up on the gpdd and realised I probably haven't shared
Woopy her 5,5 years with you yet! She is now the oldest piggy I ever
owned!! She is doing pretty well and fairly active for her age. I think
the almost 2 and the 3 year olds are keeping her Young...
Read more about her 5 1/2 here:

I have visited the vet again, because the girls again seem to have skin
problems. Both Lily and Woopy have bald spots and I can pull out tufts of
hair from Roos her back and Daisy would strangely lie on her side when I
was examining her fur...
It was only August when they had similar problems and we're diagnosed with
mites and treated for that.
The vets wasn't sure if it was mites again and she wants to treat against
both mites and fungus. Hopefully weer can get rid of these skin problems
this time...
Does anyone have good tips how to treat this thoroughly?
I have to wash them with Imaverol multiple times and give them iverquantel
for mites. These are Dutch medicine names but maybe it means anything to
some of you...
I will also be treating myself, Ihave a suspected ringworm fungus on my
hand, which won't go away, but this might be due to me and the girls
infecting each other te whole time. ..

I actually changed vets over this because last time I found these bold
spots I was convinced I had to have another expensive fungal culture again.
I don't really mind that it is expensive, though this doesn't help, but the
fact that I have to wait for at least 2 weeks doing nothing annoys meas the
piggies are bothered by it. Plus when they find nothing, they are not
treated, and we know these tests can have false negatives.
Happy with this new vet, both vets I have seen so far a seem very
knowledgeable and they are not annoyed by me knowing quite some things
about piggies. You know how some vets go like 'Hey I am the very and you
need to listen to me'. My old piggy vet wasn't like that luckilyand the new
one isn't either. She even said ah you have 4 piggies, so you are probably
an enthusiast and are quite knowledgeable.

To make long story short if you have any good tips to get rid of fungus and
mites for good ley me know!

Thanks, Mieke and the guinygirlz: Woopy, Lily, Daisy and Roos
