[Gpdd] CARE: bananas

I was interested in the guinea pig treat recipes. However, one of them said not to feed bananas every day. I had never heard that before. All my guinea pigs have had a very small piece of banana every day. They get a piece off the end when I slice a banana onto my cereal. What is the reason for no bananas every day? Or do they just mean a large amount? It hardly seems that a small slice could hurt much and I've never seen any ill effects.
