Joanie and The Beautifuls, we had so hoped that Ruffian would recover from her surgery, and we were so very sorry to hear that she passed away.  Please know that you and Gary did everything you could for her, and she knows it.  I like to think that her conversational noises were indeed her saying goodbye (and a big thanks) to you and also greeting the old and new friends she was beginning to glimpse as she got closer to the Rainbow Bridge.  Thanks for sharing the details of your burial service for her; what a touching tribute.  Please know that Ruffian was a lucky girl to be so loved, and please accept our condolences on her passing.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all sick piggies and their families.
