Hi All,

Lynn, I read your post about hay and the hay manger not being touched much but the hay on the cage floor is well loved.  I stopped using hay mangers just because it is just one more thing to deal with and also, my pigs were doing basically the same thing as yours--not touching the hay manger much. They love to hide in it, munch on it, and -- you know, everything else. I do use bluegrass hay and timoyhy hay from KMS Hayloft, even though shipping is through the roof, its the best. I remember the days in the 90's when shipping was so much less. I love KMS hayloft hay, and the great thing is that they do use those Flat Rate boxes from USPS (United States Postal Service) since they are in Washington state, USA, on the west coast of North America, so you can buy two - 10 lb. bags (About 320 ounces) of their Timothy pellets for a decent price, and two of those will fit in the large Flat rate box, and you save about $100 on shipping, those pellets are one of
the best, but I gotta get more Oxbow Cavy cuisine (Oxbow Adult cavy pellets) tomorrow at the pet shop because Fiji is not used to KMS pellets and tips the dish over.
Anyway, KMS Hayloft uses their hay in the ingredients of the pellets and they are very fresh.
Glad to hear you are feeling better Lynn. Big hugs to you and all.
Aloha,
Ellen
