Jocelyn, we are sorry that Edgeworth has been having some problems with his teeth.  We think it is worth the trip to the vet who's farther away, since he is a highly regarded tooth doctor.  It does sound a bit worrying to put Edgeworth under anesthesia at his age.  Please do keep us posted on how he is doing.  Sending all good wishes and wheeks his way.
