Carla, the advice from Penny is really great.  Just wanted to add that 
here in the US, liquid paraffin is heavy mineral oil.  Buying heavy 
mineral oil is important, as the less heavier kinds could cause a piggie 
to choke.  She is so right about not giving too much; too much can 
result in the opposite problems of diarrhea and dehydration.

An alternative to theheavy mineral oil is regular corn oil. Like the 
heavy mineral oil, it should be given sparingly, as Penny said. 
Sometimes results (poos) might take at least twelve hours, so be patient.
