[Gpdd] HEALTH: Good news! Callie is eating

Dear list members, Penny and Glynnis,

I wanted to pass along some good news today.  At first, Callie lost another 
1.5 oz. after having her teeth clipped but as of this morning, she has 
gained back .5 oz.   But the best news is that she took a very small bit of 
apple from me last night and then she took a very thin strip of bell pepper. 
Then, today, Erl spotted hern snitching a piece of green bean from Eve!  She 
is still eating very tiny bites and very slowly so not really sure whyt but 
I am going to call her new doctor tomorrow and see if she wants to see her 
to check her back molars.  I can alson get her to take her Vit C so I am a 
very happy mommy slave tonight.  She still seems kind of weak but everything 
else is looking up.

She takes syringe feeding very well and Earl and I do it together.  I hold 
her and Earl takes her little jaws (cheeks) between nhis fingers and puts 
the syringe in at the back of her mouth.  She will take 4 or 5 ml before she 
throws those sweet little feet up there and pushes his hand, along with the 
syringe, away.  We give her as many mls of water as she will take.  I feel 
son relieved.  I have been praying about her and believe in prayers being 
answered.  Ii am so thankful.

Thank you so much to those of you who wrote to me and gave me advice and 
support.  It means so much when you are panicking and your baby is going 
downhill.  I will update y'all as she continues to hopefully improve.  I 
still need to let the vet know and see what she thinks.  Usually, Callie can 
slurp  up a piece of pepper like sucking up a spaghetti noodle!  But right 
now, she is being very cautious and slow.  Here's a healing wish to all 
other ill or sick piggies tonight.
