I hope that this goes through the GPDD system in time to wish all our
American friends a happy 4th. July. I should have posted this message
yesterday in order for it to be there in time as it can take a while.
I must admit that I only just realised that this event was happening. When
I am having my breakfast ( having first cleaned out all the Piggyfriends'
pens ) I like to complete the daily jigsaw on my ipad and today's picture
was of a little girl waving a US flag. One does not know what the picture
is going to be until one gets far enough to guess and I completed the bit
with the flag first and then realised why it was there. Stupid or not? I
would never forget my own special day on March 17th. St. Patrick's Day.
Now is the chance to get out your camera and take a patriotic pigture ( or
any kind of pigture ) for the blog. If you look at the post for 28th. June
you will see that Mieke is organising a new Piggy Snap. First off are
smooth coated piggies and I am sure that many of you have one or more of
these.

Of course, the Piggyfriends were first to join in. They never miss the
chance to pose for the camera and the little new boars had the opportuniity
to learn how to behave. Cosmo kept relatively still and I managed to get a
good shot but Casper, despite being wrangled by my son, who was visiting
for the weekend, managed to climb up the back of the sofa and nearly ended
up down behind it. He was so wriggly that he had to be returned to their
pen in disgrace and had his photo taken there. Some piggies are born posers
and some are not. If only they were all like Otto and Gandalf, who suffer
the indignity of wearing hats, flowers, ribbons...whatever the season
demands...with stoic indifference.
Looking forward to seeing some photos of your little ones. They do not have
to be new pigtures. You might have some of piggies past in your archive. As
long as they are smooth coated, we want to see them. Later on there will be
the opportunity for different breeds and colours ro join in.
Have a great day in the US.
Penny and the Piggyfriends.
