It is with a heavy heart and some anger that I must tell you that we had to
help Callie to the bridge on Monday.
She had continues to lose weight and had developed a large mass on the right
side of her face. Earl and my step son Stacy did their best to try and
relieve it by draining the puss every day but it just kept filling back up.
Eventually, we noticed that her jaw was out of alignment and this caused her
to not eat. I hold the vet responsible for her jaw problem. I feel that she
knocked it out of alignment when she supposedly checked her molars. Callie
was never the same after that, The vet who put her to sleep said that it was
not a tooth abscess and he too questioned the alignment of her jaw. He did
assure us we are doing the right thing and that pretty soon her organs would
have started to fail as well.
So, that leaves us now with Eve. I have come to the decision that I will
not be getting another pig to go with her. With the lack of good care
available it is just pointless to try and keep them healthy and alive. I
wont be reading your responses anytime soon as I am still indisposed with a
broken arm. I know you all care and I appreciate it.
My love to you all and hoping all of your piggy's are well.
Love, hugs and whisker kisses
Lynn and Eve with Callie, Samantha and Tabatha at the Bridge and in our
hearts and memories.
