[Gpdd] Health: shilintong & extra tooth?

Dear Mieke, A bit of extra tooth? I'm not sure what you mean but you know,
I'm sure, that piggies have molars, and that those molars can overgrow or
have spurs or burrs. These need to be resolved by a piggie tooth specialist,
or depending, an ambitious and dexterous amateur. Does your vet have the
piggie sized buccal pads for a separator? That tool holds the jaw open so
the errant tooth can be removed, clipped or filed. The question is can you
tell if this bit of tooth is growing, or is causing her pain, rubbing a raw
spot on her mouth or tongue or causing her to lose weight or not eat
properly? I wonder if there is a way to circulate a pigture or x-ray among
the more knowledgeable of us (not me though) to help tell what it is. I
think I remember you have a much better vet that average so their advice
would be useful. I always hate it when a person answers a question or
product review with "I don't know" and that's essentially what I have done,
so forgive me if I have only stated the obvious. Sometimes the worst thing
is to mess with a tooth that doesn't really need work followed by failure to
act when required. Teeth are just difficult. My regards to your piggies,
yourself and family.
Sandy
