Thank you to all who've responded. I know this is not a miracle treatment and Killian is 6 years old. If this helps him in his golden years, then I'm fine giving it to him daily. He is on Lasix 2x/day to help him urinate more frequently and Metacam  1x/day for his arthritis in knees and hips.
I've also switched to filtered water instead of water from the tap. I used to have filtered water and then I moved to a new home. I started using tap water and that is when his weight loss started, but was not as significant as the past 4 weeks which was nearly 100g.
I really do appreciate all your kind words and sharing your experiences with me. The Shilintong arrived today so I will start him on it this weekend when I can monitor him for any behavioral changes or reactions.
