[Gpdd] PETER GURNEY: Candlelight Memorial March 9th

This Wednesday, March 9th, we will once again celebrate Peter Gurney and 
all of our furred, finned, and feathered friends who have gone to the 
Bridge.  As you know, Peter Gurney was a wonderful ambassador for guinea 
pigs and helped make advances in their health, care, and well-being.  He 
died in 2006, but we remembered him that year and each year since by 
lighting candles.

The event is real, not virtual.  Just light a candle at 8 p.m. in your 
time zone.  You don't need to be a guinea-pig parent to join in.  We 
welcome participation from everyone!  As participants in each time zone 
light a candle at 8 p.m., the light moves around the world.  Last year, 
lights started in Australia and ended in Hawaii, a fitting tribute to a 
special friend to guinea pigs, and to all of our special friends now at 
the Rainbow Bridge.

We hope you will have your candle ready March 9th!
