Dear Mary Fran,

I am so very sorry to read about dear little Dora. I watch my little ones
like a mother hen with her chicks and check them every night when they get
their bedtime snack, which I ensure that every pig has eaten up. Even so, I
have sometimes found that one has left me in the night without any warning
that they might have been ill.

You have taken such good care of Dora and, sometimes, these sad events are
beyond our control.
