You have all received a complete guide to diabetes in the last couple of
posts, which I have only just been able to read so I will just add that the
only piggy that I have ever had with diabetes, went into remission after
putting her on the hay, oats and cabbage diet. It really can work. Ever
after, I was careful not to allow her much in the way of sweet foods. I
avoided giving her apple and tomato altogether and she only had a small
chunk of carrot now and then.

I have never used those dried mixes that contain lots of dubious highly
coloured bits. None of my herd have those "treats" from the pet shop
either. Who knows what is in them.

Save all that info. You never know when you might need it. In an emergency,
if you do not have styptic powder, ordinary cornflour works as well.
