[Gpdd] Misc.: in what countries is it normal to have guinea pigs as pets?

Mieke, this is a wonderful question. I hope more people will answer and 
talk about their experiences with guinea pigs in their respective 
countries. In case anyone/anypig missed it, I'll add that the list for 
the Peter Gurney Memorial (gpdd.org) is a great start for seeing the 
many places guinea pigs have worked their way into people's hearts!
