[Gpdd] RAINBOW BRIDGE: Eddie

So sorry to hear about Eddie.  Although I haven't been writing to the GPDD at all, I've read your posts and was trying to cheer him on.  Daisy will be six in August, so she and Eddie sort of grew up together ... she's been a trooper, too.  Her foot got infected after I cut her nail too close in January.  She lost all her toes on her left hind foot, but she still has the foot (it looked pretty bad and the vet wasn't sure she'd be able to keep it).  It took about four months before the vet stopped having to wrap it ... she was on Baytril and Metacam the whole time.  For a few days after the bandage came off, she was also on narcotics for the pain.  But her foot got better and she's gotten her mobility back (you wouldn't even notice she ever had a walking problem).

The only thing is that right now she and Sapphire are separated.  For quite a bit of time, I kept Daisy separate in order to keep the bandage dry and give her a peaceful place to live.  Sapphire started bossing Daisy around a little, but since I still had Pearl at the time, she tired of it quickly and she played with Pearl.  Pearl passed away suddenly a couple months ago, and since then, Sapphire has been apprehensive and unsure of herself, and it has resulted in unwanted behavior.  I'm in the process of trying to figure out a way to get them back together again.
