[Gpdd] PETER GURNEY: please light a candle on March 9th!

The annual Peter Gurney Memorial Candle Lighting is almost here! To 
participate (or pigticipate) all you have to do is light a candle at 8 
p.m. your time on March 9th.

As many of you know, Peter Gurney wrote books on guinea pigs and their 
care and was a tireless advocate for them. He passed away in 2006, and 
since then Digest members and friends have lit a candle in his honor 
each year. March 9th was his birthday.

This is a real, not virtual, event, in which we remember Peter as well 
as other friends (human, furred, feathered, and finned) who have passed on.

You don't have to be a member of the Digest to participate. Please feel 
free to ask others to join in. Thank you!
