 Cindy, Nugget, Scottie, and fellow digesters,
I thank you all so much for the kind words. I just still can't believe it and some times are worse than others. None of us are ever ready for it.
I am sure Avalanche has found all his old friends and made many new ones. I imagine he is teaching them hay waving and "beverage" making. I believe Avalanche may have left special instructions and his special "Harry Piggy" wand.... he was truly a very magical boy.

 Carol, we are so saddened and startled to read of Avalanche's passing. We had so hoped that he would be fine after his vet visit and teeth trim. Our hearts go out to you, knowing what a shock it was when your brave boy began to slip away. Please have no doubt that you, your vet, and the vet techs did everything possible for him. (How touching that one of the techs picked dandelions for him.) Avalanche knew he was in the best of homes and the best of hands, and you certainly were a comfort to him as he lay on the sofa with you and contemplated the Rainbow Bridge. He was a lucky boy to be so loved. We send our condolences to you and your husband. We're sure that Stuart Little and many other old and new friends have greeted Avalanche with open paws.

Nugget sends thanks for the special parties Avalanche held each Halloween, and for his special beverage. He misses his buddy. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with all sick piggies and their families.
